signified: The soft drink with a burst of fruity flavours
signifier: colourful bottle
With this image, the advert is based on rasberry flavoured coke. An observer knows this due to the cherries coming out of the coke bottle, and even the labelling on the coke bottles that say rasperry is another hint. Without the cherries and the labellng on the bottles that say rasperry, it would almost be impossible for an observer to define the advertisement. If it was not for the cherries and the word rasperry printed on the coke bottles, the text would be completley unclear and the observer would most likely queston the identity of the text being used.
